Sails Festival Home

2 April – Good Friday 2021

Due to the recent three-day lockdown announcement and the evolving COVID-19 cluster situation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Redcliffe Festival of Sails, scheduled for Good Friday at Suttons Beach.

This was an extremely tough decision, however we are confident it is the right one given the three-day lockdown and uncertainty around community transmission.

We, just like you, are extremely disappointed and saddened by the decision to cancel this much-loved community celebration, however the safety and welfare of the public is our priority and the decision was made with this at the forefront.

We wish you all a safe and happy Easter and hope to bring you Redcliffe Festival of Sails in 2022.

Spend Good Friday by the seaside at Redcliffe Festival of Sails. Welcoming the largest program of entertainment ever, come and see why thousands of visitors flock to Suttons Beach each year to join in the fun. Enjoy the best waterfront views of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race – Australia’s second biggest yacht race.

On Friday, 2nd April families can enjoy a whole day of COVID Safe Easter-themed free entertainment and activities from 9am-4pm. Kids will love the free entertainment, Easter egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Mum and Dad can roam through the hundreds of market stalls, and enjoy live music and entertainment from three stages.

Event organisers are working closely with Queensland Health to deliver the event with patron safety as our top priority. Delivered under a COVID-Safe Event Plan, patrons can expect a few changes in the spirit of safety and all event attendees will be required to scan in using a QR code for contact-tracing purposes.
